AD-00019
A large company contracted with Meetingworks to conduct a values analysis for randomly selected groups throughout a division. Ten groups came to 2-hour meetings. They were registered as executive, management, and non-management groups.
The groups used Cross Impact to establish the "climate" in their department, their division, and the company as a whole. The scale used was 0 to 5, where 0 = punitive and 5 = empowered.
They then used Cross Impact to compare the extent to which a list of company-adopted values was practiced by their department, their division, and the company as a whole.
The results of these two Cross Impact steps were then "rolled up" to view all the groups as a whole and then the ratings by subgroup (non-management, management, and executive).
The last steps in the short meetings were spent brainstorming barriers and solutions. These were "rolled up" manually by creating broad categories and placing items from all the groups’ lists into the categories.
The company repeated the task two years later, and was able to discover trends and improvements.
