A group wanted to analyze how well they were meeting customer needs within several market segments.  First they agreed on a list of market segments (Generate, Organize.  Then they used a Cross Impact step to rate each one of the market segments against each of three criteria (Profitability, Growth, Fit with Company).  A File Editor step was used to reduce the list of market segments to those with the top ratings.

The next step was to generate a list of customer needs (Generate, Organize, Evaluate, File Editor).  To determine how customer needs were being met in each market segment, another Cross Impact step was used.
