A good agenda is the basis for a successful meeting. Planning is essential for good outcomes in meetings; maybe even more so with meetings supported by technology. Asking well-planned questions and being clear about the purpose of each task will greatly improve focus and productivity in meetings.

Meetingworks agendas are created using AgendaPlanner. This is a simple point and click method of assembling steps to create the meeting agenda. Steps using Meetingworks tools can be mixed with steps that use presentations or other applications. Together, all the steps combine to create the final agenda.

Steps can be moved about to achieve the best sequence. At any time, the agenda can be rehearsed to see if it achieves the desired flow. After it is written, the agenda is saved and run during the actual meeting using the Chauffeur tool.

AgendaPlanner features include:

  • Drag and drop capability, plus all Windows keystrokes
  • Spell checking throughout
  • Facilitator notes for use during a meeting and also for preserving process information
  • Automatic file naming
  • “Loop” capability—run step(s) multiple times and save results from each iteration
  • Optional password protection for opening and modifying an agenda
  • Use of templates and wizards to begin a new agenda
  • Ability to launch other tools from the toolbar
  • Default Internet options for remote participants
