MeetingWorks InternetEdition Demo Planning for an Espresso Shop
This web page contains a sample final report from the MeetingWorks InternetEdition "different time" demonstration meeting. In a typical meeting, this would be posted to the web server after the meeting results were collected by the Chauffeur.
This agenda provides input for planning for the opening of a chain of espresso shops or stops by this group of business people. Last month's face-to-face meeting provided some of the input for this meeting. This meeting will continue the dialog about the type of shop we'll start with, and take a good look at some of the things we'll want to use as major criteria in choosing locations. We'll first brainstorm some coffee brands to consider, then rank some criteria for location selection. Then we'll rate some types of shops that have been listed in our last meeting, for how they appeal to you. Last, we'll start brainstorming some important business questions. All of this information will be summarized and returned to you. Later in the month, we'll meet again to finalize some of these decisions and plans. Please complete this meeting agenda by Friday. If you have any questions or problems, please contact me at Meetingworks 206.467.1234.
You may list up to three brands you think we should consider for our business. They should be well-known, provide a wide range of roasts, and be ones we would be proud to serve. After typing each one, press the Send to Scratchpad key (F4). When finished with the step, press the Send to Group List key (F2).

Where should we look for initial funding?
Uncle Joe
SBA
Venture capitalists
Local bank
What type of employees are we seeking? Age? Part-time/full-time?
All ages...anyone who wants to work!
Young folks are a little flaky about these kinds of jobs, but they do have fun and bring fun. It would be part-time in their case.
A mix would be good. Older people could work full-time and have a few younger ones (high school?) fill in during early morning hours.
What are some possible names for the business?
Java Jungle
Java Spot
My Friends
Coffee Hit
Caffeine Cafe
What should be our "image"?
Hip and friendly
Good listeners (like the bar in Cheers)
Kind of crazy...decor that changes often and is interesting enough for people to comment on it
The ONLY place to get your morning coffee. We need a nice slogan once we get a name.
